 It’s here! Peak fall is here! I’m advocating that, annually, EVERYONE takes this week off to relish in the perfect temperatures and breathtaking beauty. If you haven’t visited the Rocky Mountains for leaf peeping, go ahead and book your trip for next year! Steamboat Food & Wine Festival has begun- hosting multiple events throughout town centered on culinary delights and a variety of libations. The Grand Tasting at the Base Area is the main event featuring over 100 wines & spirits and food parings to boot. The Festival continues to grow in size and popularity and sells out year over year. Tonight is also the full moon. Steamboat’s Blackmere trail, just beyond the library in the Fairview neighborhood, is the perfect trail for a Full Moon hike. I’ll be climbing up a mountain at sunset to see the Harvest moon rise over Mt. Werner. Another awe-inspiring activity supported by the mountain lifestyle- we’ll be doing this with snowshoes soon enough! Market Update: This week the Steamboat Springs real estate market had 11 new listings, 22 under contract, and 11 closed properties. New on the market is the somewhat iconic “Ronald McDonald House” that sits directly under the gondola with the world renown mascot sitting on a lift chair, tucked under the large deck.
