USA, COLORADO & ASPEN
MARK MILESTONES |
| Every year, July bursts forth with typically gorgeous weather (just try staying inside!), a banquet of activities for the body and for the mind, and in between, abundant opportunities to enjoy our small-town version of big city amenities.
This year, Aspen marks three major July anniversaries – the 250th anniversary of the USA, the 150th anniversary of the addition of Colorado as the 38th state, and the founding of Ute City (aka Aspen), by Henry B. Gillespie, as the first permanent silver mining camp along the Roaring Fork River 147 years ago. Lots for us to celebrate this month as we enter our 148th year! |
