It has been a great start to the new year with over 2 feet of snow and more snow is in the 5 day forecast. The town and mountain have slowed down a bit from the holiday’s which makes it a great time to come visit! There are so many activities to enjoy in the Telluride area – snowboarding, fat biking, paddle tennis and snowmobiling are a few of my favorites in the winter.
The real estate market had its strongest showing since the peak in 2007, but did not eclipse those numbers in 2017. Here’s how those year’s stack up:
2007 – # of sales = 631 / $ volume = $756.5M
2017 – # of sales = 619 / $ volume = $621.1M
The 2017 Year End numbers show dollar volume up 37% and number of transactions up 10% over the previous year. Even though the market is very active and strong, we are not back to peak pricing.
