The 304± acre Miller Ranch on the Ruby River is located just outside Alder, Montana in the famed Ruby River Valley, known for its breathtaking scenic beauty and its namesake, the Ruby River. The ranch owns 1.5± miles of Ruby River frontage providing excellent angling on this incredible river. The Ruby is one of the finest wild trout fisheries in the United States. In an article in the Big Sky Journal written over 15 years ago the Ruby River is described as perhaps, “…pound for pound, the best fishing in the state”. Since that article was written, the land use practices of the ranch owners along the Ruby has evolved. Several tributaries have been rehabilitated, grazing practices changed, and stream enhancement work done, the result is a river that has become even better over the past several years.
