Brooks Wine – Amity, OR 97101

Dear Friends,

Community is one of the most important aspects of having a winery. I started writing these weekly emails early in COVID because I was frustrated with the lack of personal touch in emails from wineries, especially during such a strange time in our world. Behind every bottle of wine are people, often who remain in the background. Wine tastes better when it carries a personal sense, a story, a history. My goal with these emails, whether you live near or far, is for you to hear from one of the voices at Brooks and that each bottle of our wine means much more to you.

When I built our tasting room a decade ago, my goal was to create a community gathering place where people could be with friends and family in a warm, inviting, and safe place to share delicious wine. I believe we have achieved that and am honored to have our tasting room be named a Top 100 Destination in Oregon for the sixth year running.

We have some tremendous community-building events happening soon. I hope you can join us.

Happy Sunday!

Let’s Build Community

Spring is a very busy time!

We will be on the road a lot but also have great reasons to come to the tasting room if you are local.

Across The Country, Brooks will be at:

Feb 23 & 24 Florence Wine Fest X Oregon Pinot Camp, Florence, AL
Feb 25 Vintage Wine Shoppe X Oregon Pinot Camp, Birmingham, AL
March 5-9 Charleston Food & Wine, Charleston, SC
March 19 Perrine’s Wine Shop, Sandy Springs, GA
March 20-22 High Museum Auction, Atlanta, GA
April 10-13 Pebble Beach Food & Wine, Pebble Beach, CA

In the Tasting Room, things not to miss:

March 1 Brooks University-Riesling and Its Spectrum of Personalities- Join the passionate Tim Mance from Brooks as our special guest who will share the history of Riesling in Oregon as well as pop some older Brooks gems. This is not to be missed!

March 3 Celebrate Women in Hospitality and Tourism-This special event hosted by Travel Oregon and held at Brooks warms my heart. There is plenty of time to network and meet other women in these industries. Food, drinks, mingling and a short panel discussion that I will be a part of!

March 13-16 International Riesling Day and 2023 Bois Joli Riesling Release Weekend: Enjoy specially paired food bites with the release of this consistently high scoring, delicious wine.

March 13 Cooking Class Sushi: Join Culinary Manager Matt for this intimate, hands-on class learning to make sushi.

March 20 Spring Equinox Supper: Celebrate the beginning of Spring and connect with your Brooks community at our long communal table with bright wines and a savory meal. Come together for this fabulous night.

We have been celebrating our Wine Club Members the entire month of February and we are looking to the final week of extra points and so much more!

I get to enjoy the week at home albeit very busy preparing for upcoming travel.

Always here: janie@bookswine.com and cell 831-238-4828.

Cheers,
Janie
