Aspen, perfectly embodying its name, thrives with a quiver of aspen trees that shapeshift into feathery clusters of gold as October unfolds. Fall is idyllic in Aspen, there are boundless opportunities to engage in outdoor activities. During October, the cooler air makes hiking, biking, fly fishing, and all outdoor activities more enjoyable. Trails like Cathedral Lake, American Lake, Hunter Creek Valley, Crater Lake, and of course, the Maroon Bells showcase an exquisite display of colors. October provides serenity in nature, as well as the town’s vibe as many retreat and prepare for the ski season to emerge. |
